Echocardiogram Imaging

What You Should Know

What is echo songraphy?

An Echocardiogram allows doctors to diagnose, evaluate, and monitor heart disease. This test is performed to evaluate the valves and chambers of the heart in a noninvasive way.

Why doesn't Heart Niagara take walk-ins for echocardiograms?

While an echocardiogram is noninvasive, we require a referral from a healthcare provider or specialist to ensure a stated medical need for the procedure.

If I have a referral, what should I bring?

Your healthcare provider will have already provided your referral to us. All you need to bring with you is your current and valid Ontario Health Card (OHIP Card).
